Megan and Alec are welcoming a sweet little love soon♥�️

One of my favorite parts of Logan and Emily’s wedding, was the faith that they tied into all aspects of the day. They had a cross built as an a wedding alter, their guest book was a bible in which they asked their guests to highlight their favorite verse, but one of the best moments was when they had their families and wedding party gather around them, lay hands on them and talk to God. All of the people who love them most, lifted them up and prayed over their union.

They will be keeping God as the center of their marriage.

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” ecclesiasties 4:12 🖤

I first met Emily and Logan at their engagement session last fall. They were both so kind and pleasant and are a perfect example of being in love with your best friend. Both families were warm and open and welcomed me right in to the big day. It was chilly and rainy out but that didn’t matter one bit. Both of them were so positive and antsy to get married. I asked both of them separately how they were feeling when I arrived and both basically told me the same thing - they were excited and couldn’t wait to be married. I offered to show Emily a shot I got of Logan and the response I got was “oh yes please….wait, no! I’m going to wait to see him till I walk down the aisle” with a nervous smile on her face. When it was time for the ceremony to begin, Logan was up front watching everyone walk down the aisle with a smile, until he saw Emily. His emotions spread across his face finally seeing his soon to be wife walk towards him. After that, the day continued smoothly with so many quick smiles and stolen moments between the two. It was the perfect start to my wedding season!

Meet the employees of Niki Collins Photography!

Eli is dedicated to the job. He is always ready to get his hands dirty. His only weakness is that he has a history of overwatering plants and drowning them but he’s working on it. He’s actually on the management track!

Emma on the other hand, has several complaints against her. She’s been known to try and eat the dirt and rocks, and she’s been caught slacking on the job. She can usually be found sitting and watching her coworkers do all the work. Emma has also been caught eating her coworkers snacks. She usually makes up for it with a hug.

Then we have our foreman, Logan. He’s also a silent partner in the business. Logan is the muscle behind Niki Collins Photography. He makes all the visions come to life and we couldn’t complete any projects without him. His management style is different, often sending th employees to their rooms for misbehavior or enforcing a “Dad Tax” on all of their snacks. Employee of the Month for 9 years running.

A sweet little soul is making his way to the world next month🩵

Recently, I had the privilege of taking my cousins engagement photos. She was married once before and was in a marriage where she spent everyday trying to just make it to the next day while taking care of her young son as best as she could. She swore she’d never marry again after her experience. Years later, she met Kirk. Another person who had sworn off marriage due to the examples in life that were set for him. But then they found each other. Jamie found a man who helped heal her emotional wounds and loves her the way she deserves to be loved, and Kirk found a woman who made him think of marriage as more than jus a piece of paper, who lifted him up daily. The first photo may give you a chuckle when you see her child-like pouty face. But behind the scenes, it finally hit her that she was at her engagement shoot. A place she had NEVER experienced or imagined herself to be in while so happy. And as usual, Kirk was right there to kiss her tears of joy and relief away. The final photo is after Kirk and Jamie’s son both comforted her and had a little laugh together as a new, blended family.

Not all love stories include “they grew up together and it was meant to be!” Or “they are each others very best friend”. Some love stories are like this one. This story came to be because of all the pain they had both endured in the past. Until the found each other. They both know how to love one another the way they each need. I’m so thankful that I had the honor of witnessing it all♥️
